What Do We Need ?

We need hugs! Scientists say we need eight hugs a day according to a social experiment! I agree! I am lucky to have more hugs than that in Germany 🇩🇪‼️ I am visiting my son and his family now with lots of hugs to go around. My nine year old grandson is full of hugs! 🤗 I remember when I moved to Holland many years ago. The Dutch custom was to hug everyone when entering and leaving a social event. I wasn't used to it, but now I am. It is healthy to hug!❤️

How many times a day do you hug someone? Americans usually smile and shake hands as a greeting. Hugging is saved for family members. 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 There are sideways hugs, frontal hugs and back hugs. They show a variety of emotions from being polite to friendliness to love. Parental hugs are especially important to their children growing up. A hug can say so much without words. ❤️

We need family! We just visited our son David's family in Dusseldorf, Germany! We haven't seen them since before the Pandemic‼️Too long! Jimmy is now nine years old! We had so much fun exploring their city, eating German food and going to a hockey game 🏒! It was good for all of us ❤️

We need a healthy mindset and outlook on life! I try to eat healthy, walk daily and think positive thoughts. We visited our children John and Sarah in Los Angeles. They are very busy with their jobs and families. We have three wonderful grandchildren in Los Angeles.
We need to have fun daily! My husband and I are on our way home from a trip around the world. 🌎 It made us feel young and healthier to travel around foreign countries. We have been backpacking since April 2023. The past five months have zipped by and our next stop is home. We have so many memories to take home of the trip. It will be interesting to see how we adjust to being home again. Stay tuned!
